Born in South Korea, and raised in Hawaii, Chae has lived and traveled all over the US and Asia. He brings a unique understanding of the Asian, Hawaiian, and American cultures, a blend that is inherent in Hawaii. Chae’s cultural background and fluency in Korean and English equips him to serve a range of clients.


Chae’s earlier experiences provided the foundation necessary to be successful in business. He is an accomplished audio engineer and producer which allowed him to run a small production company. In addition, he owns a thriving contemporary American cafe in the heart of Honolulu’s financial district. Chae’s varied talents also enabled him to be assoicated with respected hotels in Hawaii and on the mainland, and with Chef Mavro, where he served as an Executive Sous Chef. During his tenure with Chef Mavro, he was instrumental in leading the team toward receiving the coveted James Beard Award.
